Project Background:

Provision of integrated emergency primary health care, nutrition, protection, and WASH services for conflict and disaster-affected people in Afghanistan’s Eastern and Northern regions. If life-saving emergency interventions such as WASH, Protection, Health, and Nutrition services are provided to populations impacted by recent conflicts and natural disasters in Afghanistan, then the highly vulnerable and marginalized households and individuals will be able to meet their basic needs for health, nutrition, protection, and WASH, mitigate the use of harmful coping mechanisms, and better protect themselves against the rapid onset disasters.

Job Purpose:

Outreach EPI activities at the BHA provinces( Laghman, Nengarhar and Kunar)

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Administer EPI services to all children and woman according to EPI policy through SHCs/MHTs
2. Manage cold chain system according to EPI protocols.
3. Support the provision of primary health care within the community.
4. Counsel and educate patients, the family, and community about immunization and in relevant areas of health.

1. Share knowledge, skill, and expertise with medical, midwifery and nursing students and all professional staff concerning their job requirements.
2. Perform limited, select administrative duties such as patient charting, recording, and reporting of data, clinic and/or facility management, or coordination of specific educational or outreach programs.
3. Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiative; safety, environmental, and infection prevention standards.

1. Identify and report immediately any problem which interferes in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives to his/her immediate supervisor.
2. Participate in weekly meeting of health facility to share information and discuss the program progress.

Safeguarding policy for Staff:

• Respect and follow International Medical Corps Safeguarding policy and never neglect, abuse, harm and exploit children, young people, and adult at risk,
• Report any actual or suspicious harm to the children and vulnerable adult caused by staff and program.

Qualifications

Essential

12^th grade + have the three months certificate of EPI training or 11 days EPI refresher training /EPI department of PPHDs

The candidate must have good human and communication skills.

The candidate must be able to speak fluently in Dari, Pashto and English will be a plus point.

Experience

Three months in the same filed, preference will be given to the locals of duty station.

Competenc

• Fluency in local languages is required.
• Computer proficiency will be to our advantage.
